DAY 1: MOTORCYCLE TOUR FROM HANOI TO MAI CHAU VALLEY Today we start our journey early in the morning to Mai Chau Valley in Hoa Binh Province, along the breathtaking views of mountains and valleys. Mai Chau is a beautiful valley where white Thai, black Thai, Muong, black H'mong and Tay people have been living for a long time. We will arrive in Mai Chau around noon, enjoy a homestay lunch. You can relax in the hotel for a short time. In the afternoon, we will visit villages nearby by bike or motorcycle and learn more about the life of local people, their house styles and their agricultural activities. After dinner you will have time to enjoy a special show with dances and songs performed by locals - a great opportunity for an open cultural exchange with locals. You can dance, sing and drink the local pipe wine (called Can in Vietnamese) with them. Overnight stay in Mai Chau in homestay. DAY 2: MAI CHAU MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO PU LUONG NATURE RESERVE. We have breakfast at homestay and then continue to Pu Luong Nature Reserve (off the beaten track) to enjoy the wonderful views of terraced rice fields and villages along the valleys. Stop at Don village to enjoy the view of the valley and hills. Have a picnic lunch on the way, then we continue to the other side of the hill to Doan town, from where we continue to Hieu village of the black Thai ethnic group. Hieu hamlet is located on the slope of the mountain and offers breathtaking views of waterfalls and terraced fields. To reach Hieu village - a remote village in the region - we drive along a small road and then dirt roads along some villages, rivers and rice fields for about 6 km. Near the waterfall, we will drive along the Hieu waterfall and then up to the top of the mountain where you can see 20 houses on stilts. We will stay at Mr. Ba's stilt house - the best house with efficient facilities you can find in the village. Dinner with local food prepared by Mr. Ba's wife. Overnight in Pu Luong nature reserve (homestay). DAY 3: PU LUONG NATURE RESERVE MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO HOA LU- TAM COC Wake up to the sounds of chickens, cows and waterfalls nearby and enjoy the moment of sunrise. Have a local breakfast. Afterwards, we will then return by motorcycle to Doan, where you can take time to stroll around the market before continuing our journey to Ninh Binh. Around noon, we arrive in Hoa Lu, which is known as the ancient capital of Vietnam from 968 to 1009. Here we will visit Dinh Temple, dedicated to Dinh Tien Hoang and his family, and Le Temple, venerating King Le Dai Hanh and his family. Our guide will introduce you to the history of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries under the Dinh, Le and Ly dynasties. Dinner and overnight at Ninh Binh homestay. DAY 4: NINH BINH MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO HANOI After breakfast, we will continue by rowing boat to visit Tam Coc (three caves), which is also considered as Halong Bay of the mainland. The view of the mountains and rice fields along the Ngo River and the three caves when the boat passes through will surely leave you speechless for a few minutes. On the way back to the port, you can explore the surrounding villages by motorcycle and take photos. We will then start the journey home to Hanoi.
